From a young age, Austin was interested in business and being an entrepreneur. In his senior year of high school, Austin was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to Indiana State University. In college, Austin was enjoying his business classes but was unsure of what to do after graduation. An insightful professor knew he was struggling with this decision and pulled him aside to discuss the world of Fee-Only Financial Planning. This is exactly what Austin was looking for, a career that utilized his analytical thinking to make an impact on people’s lives. Austin first joined Market Street in 2017 as a Financial Planning Intern where he was exposed to the financial planning process and Market Street’s investment philosophy. He was able to join the Market Street team full-time after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Indiana State University with a B.S. in Financial Planning & Accounting. Austin earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) credentials in 2019. Austin was drawn to Market Street because the firm focuses on real financial planning without the glam and glitz you may see at other advisory firms. You will never see Austin wearing a suit & tie. His favorite client meetings are where the client does the majority of the talking. He feels that it’s his job to listen and learn from the client first, then make actionable recommendations based on that individual’s emotions and circumstances.
